Welcome!  Chances are if you are here, you already have a number of reasons for trying to find meat

that is not halal.  Up front we will let you know we got into this because we are Christians who want

to live like the first century believers did.  They started with few requirements, in Acts 15 , they were

told to stay away from meat sacrificed to idols.  We thought this would be so much easier to do, but because it was so difficult we pressed on, knowing there would be other people out there having the

exact same issue.    We didn't just want to talk about the problem , we wanted  to make the road easier

for  pilgrims who will cross this way.  We put this information together for you , because we know how hard it was for us to  find non halal meat and to get a straight and truthful answer.

Below is a list of Alberta butchers that have answered "no" to our fairly rigorous questioning about

whether they sell halal meat and how they do get their meat to ensure they are eligible for this list.

We may have left off some "organic farms " where you can buy a quarter or side of beef as they get

their meats slaughtered and butchered  at  facilities that are halal certified and provide halal products.

Also people are asking for this site to expand to provide non halal meat sources for other provinces and major city centers in Canada, so please if you know of a non halal butcher in your area we will check it
